I am thrilled to share that North Star is receiving a grant of $150,000 from The Novo Foundation for the 2025-2026 academic year. Our connection to this foundation developed through the consulting we do with the Liberated Learners network, and the funds are intended to further North Star’s ability to share its model with other interested teams. This grant will allow North Star staff (especially Ken) to focus on these efforts while strengthening our internal organization.

We are grateful to the Board and Staff at the Novo Foundation for this show of inspiration and faith in our track record and current situation. We look forward to honoring this generosity and vision in the coming year. For those of you curious, the website states: Jennifer and Peter Buffett are the Co-Presidents of the foundation. They also co-chair the Board of Directors. Peter Buffett is the youngest son of investor Warren Buffett.
