Thank You to Jacob Miller-Mack, Ellen Morbyrne, Kiva Singh, and Sphennings Wright for sharing their thoughtful reflections about having left school with North Star’s support a couple of decades ago! This sort of conversation counts as Major Fun in my life! To give away the punch line, these alumni still identify strongly with their choice to embark on self-directed learning, and they can still remember their first days of joining our community. A lot still matters!

Thanks to the many alumni, parents, staff, and board members from throughout our 26 years who showed up to listen and ask questions. Thanks to the many people from our Liberated Learners network around the world who joined in as well. These alumni were spectacular, and they are indeed representative of so many young people who have enjoyed their teenage years and gained a head start on life with North Star and other homeschooling avenues.
